In front of the Art Institute of ChicagoTesla and I got to go to Chicago with Jenna and Willa last month. Jenna and I have talked for years about making a trip there together. She grew up there and her mom and Carl still live there. So we thought we better take a girls trip. Tesla and Willa did so well on the plane and playing together at Jenna's Mom's house.
Chicago is one of the most amazing and progressive cities for public art and sculpture. Millenium park is absolutely magnificent. You may have heard of "the bean" it is called Cloud Gate, simply beautiful. It rained on us most of the time but that didn't stop us from touring the artworks.
One of the largest works was this series of larger than life mummy like sculptures that were scattered across an entire park. They are so stark and intriguing!
